Antique African Ethiopian Tribal Copper Alloy  Ornament Torque Dowry Currency
It is quite solid, sturdy and heavy, this why we are not sure if it is copper or bronze. 
At a certain point it was polished, it has some polish residue on the ornate parts.

These pieces were a sign of owner's health and power. They were often used as a dowry or as currency.
The opening is really small. It won't go through the neck and it won't bend either
The opening is only 6.3 cm (2.5") wide.
The coin in  the photos is to compare the dimensions, and is not included in the sale.
It is is 16 cm (6.3") at its widest point
and is 1.2 cm (0.5") in depth
In good used condition.With some age and usage related wear, and some old polish residue on the engraved parts. Please see photos for detailed condition report.
