Rare Vintage Red Cross Illustrated Triangular First Aid Bandage
Early 20th Century
This bandage was originally created by a German Surgeon, Johannes Friedrich August Von Esmarch (1823-1908) who introduced his graphic work on linen to give medical knowledge on battlefield.
Later Red Cross and other Medical institutions issued these bandages as part of their first aid training, in post first world war period.
Has age related staining
and some fraying as it can be seen in the photos
It is approximately 148 cm (58.3") long by 99 cm (39")
